It's Always On My Mind - Mental Health & Me
SWUF AMI 2009 Video Short Competition
The winner will receive £100 and the chance to have their work showcased via local media, websites and a promotional CD.
It’s Always On My Mind: Mental Health & Me is a new video short competition being launched this month via YouTube which challenges people to give their personal take on their own mental health.
As with any aspect of health, your mental health may be good, bad or somewhere in between!
You may want to portray your emotions, your passions, your personal journey, your history, your current state of mind, your ways of keeping your mind healthy. The choice is yours, as long as it fits the title - It’s Always On My Mind – Mental Health & Me
Be innovative and creative – the more interesting or unique the video – the better.
The SWUF Awareness, Media and Information Project will be holding a series of workshops based on the Participatory Video technique in July. If you are interested in attending, and are a mental health service user or survivor, please contact heather@swuf.org.uk
We’re not looking for video masterpieces – we’re looking for something that makes us think, something that catches our eye, something different....
Technical knowhow isn’t necessary either – you can film on a camcorder, a digital camera or even your mobile phone.
Entries should be no longer than 4 minutes long.
Entries should be uploaded onto the special competition group on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/group/SWUF
